Georgia STOMP Partners with Girls on the Run – Atlanta for 5k Race

Georgia STOMP had a great time tabling at member organization Girls on the Run Atlanta’s 5K race on Saturday, May 7th. The 5K race is a culmination event for the year and is a huge celebration. This year’s race was held at Coolray Field in Gwinnett County and thousands of people were in attendance.

Girls on the Run coordinates programming designed to strengthens 3rd to 8th grade girls’ social, emotional, physical and behavioral skills. Georgia STOMP was grateful for their invitation to table and hand out fun information about menstruation, allowing conversations with young women and empowering them to be more in control of their own bodies and health.

Georgia STOMP Co-chair Adele Stewart represented Georgia STOMP and member organization Period Project: Atlanta donated hundreds of period packs for distribution.

Georgia STOMP loves supporting our member organizations!
