Evelina Sterling

Evelina Sterling is a Professor of Sociology at Kennesaw State University.  Evelina holds a PhD in medical sociology from Georgia State University; a master’s in public health from the Johns Hopkins University; and a Bachelor of Science in biology from Mary Washington College.  She is also a master certified health education specialist (MCHES).  Evelina has been a public health educator and researcher in women’s health and reproductive health for over 30 years, including focusing specifically on menstrual health.  She is the author of seven consumer health books addressing women’s health issues as well as dozens of peer-reviewed research articles.  She served on board of the Society for Menstrual Cycle Research (SMCR) for over 10 years and hosted the annual SMCR international menstrual health conference in Atlanta, Georgia in 2017.
