Areeba Hashmi, a recent graduate from the University of Georgia, is driven by her passion for public health and advocacy. She actively worked to combat period poverty as the Co-President of the campus organization Period Project, raising awareness and providing menstrual health resources in Athens. Areeba also made valuable contributions to Project Red, which aimed to install free menstrual product dispensers on the UGa campus. Her commitment to public health extended to volunteering at non-profit clinics, where she helped provide healthcare services to underserved communities. In her free time, Areeba enjoys gardening with her father and playing tabletop games with her friends. As she looks ahead to her career, she aspires to make a lasting impact in the field of public health by addressing health disparities and empowering individuals to lead healthier lives.
