Catherine Dent is a dedicated advocate for menstrual equity and reproductive health, currently pursuing a degree in Public Policy with a minor in Pre-law at the Georgia Tech Institute of Technology. As a sophomore, she is deeply committed to driving social change and policy reform to improve the plight of women and girls facing menstrual poverty. Her journey towards advocacy began during her time at North Gwinnett High School, where she founded and served as a leader of the PERIOD chapter. Through this role, she discovered their passion for ending period poverty and menstrual stigma, laying the foundation for her continued activism. Transitioning to the Greater Atlanta Area, Catherine Dent continued her advocacy work as a community organizer for PERIOD., focusing on education, advocacy, and service to combat period poverty and stigma. Her efforts have made a meaningful impact on the local community, amplifying the conversation surrounding menstrual equity and driving change. Outside activism, Catherine Dent finds joy in various hobbies. Outside activism, Catherine Dent loves cooking and specifically enjoys experimenting with new recipes. Additionally, you will often find Catherine enjoying nature on long hikes and preserving memories through scrapbooking.
