About Georgia STOMP
The Georgia STOMP Coalition was founded to challenge the discriminatory sales tax on menstrual products in Georgia, hence the acronym STOMP – Stop Tax On Menstrual Products.
Today, we are a statewide coalition of advocacy, service, and professional organizations dedicated to advancing menstrual equity and ending period poverty in Georgia.
Our Work
Who We Are
Georgia STOMP is a coalition of advocacy, service, and professional organizations joined by a shared mission: advancing menstrual equity in government policies and daily life while working to eliminate period poverty in Georgia.
We collaborate with researchers from leading academic institutions across the South and engage in ongoing, nonpartisan discussions with state legislators and key government agencies.
Our coalition is also connected with national leaders in the menstrual equity movement, including the Alliance for Period Supplies, Period Law, and Period..
We invite your organization, church group, university, panhellenic society, civic organization, period supply group or professional organization to become a Georgia STOMP member. Join us in the fight for menstrual equity in Georgia!
Initially a grassroots coalition, Georgia STOMP, elected its first Board of Directors and qualified as a tax exempt organization under Internal Revenue Section 501(c)(3) in 2021.
